Capt Bob Miley started bass fishing in 1969, in the Everglades. The very first trip out he caught a 10lb 0/8 o/z largemouth bass and has been fishing for bass ever since. His largest bass to date is 15 lbs. He caught it in the Everglades on a musky jitterbug.
Fishing the Florida Everglades and Lake Okeechobee is Robert Miley’s passion, although the urban South Florida Peacock bass has become one of his main target species. Capt Bob reminds us, South Florida is a sportsman’s paradise with year-round beautiful weather and access to the best fishing waters in the United States. Capt Mark Rose, hometown is Pittsburgh PA. Mark has been fishing Lake Erie and Lake Okeechobee since 1999. He fishes Lake Erie in the spring, fall, and summer for smallmouth and heads to Florida during the winter months to guide on Lake Okeechobee. Capt Joe Gruny, grow up in Medford, New York. Although he grew up surrounded by salt water, freshwater bass fishing was his love and passion. He spent the summer days fishing the lower Yaphank Lake exploring every bit of the lake. Capt Joe began following his passion to fish at an early age, his earliest memory was fishing with my father and uncle for Blue Fish in the Great South Bay.
Later in life he finds himself in Lake Worth, Florida it was Lake Okeechobee where Joe caught his personal best bass of 12 Lbs 4oz largemouth bass. Joe fishes Lake Okeechobee, the Florida Everglades, Lake Ida, and the Miami canal system for Peacock Bass. Joe has become a well-established guide of these waters and his family without question is his biggest supporter.

Capt Rick Mitchell is a full-time freshwater and inshore fishing guide.
Rick played college football at Bowling Green State University and commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Army. After twenty-five years of active duty Military service, Rick and his family moved to Naples, FL where he has been guiding since 2011.
Rick has fished all over the country while in the military. When he is not fishing he is very active with the local fishing clubs and at the professional level with the FLW Costa / BFL series and the American Bass Angler Southern Division.

Capt Hunter Weston is 27 years old from Stuart, FL. I’m a second generation native Floridian, born in Plantation, FL. Now, a professional fishing captain and local expert.
I’ve been fishing since before I could remember; my father always tells a story of my first bass on my own was at two years old. My earliest memories of fishing are from when I was four, fishing local tournaments with my father in the Everglades and Lake Okeechobee and as time went on we continued to fish these great destinations.
Growing up around a professional guide gave me the aspirations to become a professional captain myself. When I was 21 years old, I joined the Coast Guard to learn more about the water and to serve my nation. After 6 years of active duty and guiding whenever I could, I gained a lot of wisdom and experience to help push me forward in my career.

Captain Doug Jansen Captain Doug Jansen joins BassOnline after relocating to Florida from Louisville, Kentucky. As a native Kentuckian, Doug owned a successful family business for over 35 years and was lucky enough to retire early and fish full time.
Captain Doug’s passion for fishing began at an early age fishing Lakes Barkley, Kentucky, Barren and Taylorsville and competing in tournaments statewide. Captain Doug began fishing Lake Okeechobee in the early 1990s and hasn’t missed a season since.
