Lake Okeechobee report with Capt Brian

How’s everybody doing this is Captain Brian brown with your Lake Okeechobee report, today our trip had us out of the North end of the lake we went out of Gerard’s and I had to bill and bill with me senior and junior. Billy junior he met me at Gerard’s this morning, and we decided we’re going to do a little bit of artificial fishing right away in the morning, and then when his dad shows up, He was going to come a few hours later then we would do some shiner fishing just relax and watch the poppers, But we went out then we started out on the in the path fishing some lily pads and stuff with swim jigs Swim baits and put on some Cinco’s sick worms and we did okay, we had a 5 pound fish that we caught going around doing that and a few other fish on the swim baits. Nothing great, but we did have some decent bass, and his dad called up was down ready for us to pick him up so we ran back to the boat dock picked him up and headed out to do some laid-back Shiner Fishing it was kind of a little bit of a struggle through out the day, but we did catch some fish, they definitely were not jumping in the boat.the Weather wasnt to bad for us in the cloud cover I think kind of kept the fish out of the real thick grass, we did catch a real Nice 6 pounder, but the fights were kind of slow in between and finally at the very end of the day we we ran into to a nice few little spots and we burn through the shiners pretty quick once we got on the dot on the right area that they got a bunch of 3 – 4 pound fish and for Junior He lost for a really really big fish today. We wouldve love that picture, but that’s the way it is. That’s why we call it fishing not catching and they had a great trip and looking forward to coming back next year, and then it just goes to show you can see him sitting in one spot may not get it done. You just got to work with it and run around check bunch of spots and There’s always one spot that they bite and they had a wonderful day weather was great great early Christmas present getting out here and catching up like that. so anybody looking to come down we’re looking forward to seeing everybody and the up coming New year, Give me a call and Let’s go do some fishing For all your freshwater fishing adventures go to bassonline.com This has been you Lake Okeechobee report with Capt Brian tight lines until next time.
