Catching HUGE Bass on Lake Okeechobee
This is Captain Mark Shepard, and this is your Lake Okeechobee fishing report of day two with Mike and his son Cole.
It was a fantastic day today, we caught huge numbers of large-mouth bass. We landed close to (70) seventy fish, maybe a little bit over we really lost count, it was a tremendous day. Some really good quality, good action and average size was good all day. We fished with artificial lures all day, and let me tell you…Lake Okeechobee has come to life…it’s on fire. The little bit of cool weather and change in water temperature has made it turn on.
We even found fish on the beds in October? Just a supper day all the way around, Cole likes to fish tournaments hopefully in the spring he will get back down here and we can fish a tournament together. He’s a young angler fishing in a bass club right now, but with great potential in fishing going forward.
