This is captain Doug Jansen on January 17th. Reporting from Clewiston-Lake Okeechobee, Florida.

My guests today were Kim Swiatek and his son in law,  Tom from Chicago – Illinois. They are down here vacationing, trying to get away from the cold weather. They are enjoying some of our beautiful sunshine here in South Florida! We fished the south-end of Lake Okeechobee, bite was very slow in the morning. We went to another spot and threw lures for a bit. We caught a few on swimbaits. We threw some shiners, primarily on the same area we started. Wind direction changed a little bit, that might of helped. We ended up catching a few and the biggest ones were a 5 and a 6 ½ pound bass. That put smiles on our faces!

They will be repeat customers now and they will come back again.

Until next time, keep your lines tight. This is Captain Doug signing off!
