Sunny Shore Bass Fishing

When it comes to Bass Fishing and Florida, Lake Okeechobee is one of the many places you should visit. It has a legendary status for its unbelievable fishing it offers. Sunny Shore Bass Fishing is something you must experience.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Joe and his 16 year old traveling from Chicago, Illinois. They love to fish and wanted to explore what the Big O had to offer.

Firstly we focused on the shad spawn on the rocks. While producing a few key bites, we could not find the fish we were hoping for. Then we moved to the Kissimmee grass and caught a couple from there as well. Finally, we focused in on the Cattails.

Largemouth bass were hidden in all these structures and we were able to catch some quality the whole trip. Live bait was the most effective method in order to catch these amazing fish.

Joe caught a summer time monster weighing 6 pounds 8 ounces. A 4 pounder came for his son. They had a great time catching over 25 largemouth. Most of the other fish caught weighed from 2 to 3 pounds.

We had a great day on Lake Okeechobee and I am looking forward to fishing with them again in the future. They will be back soon for this amazing action that is produced all year long.
